37 & 38 Weeks

Hello, all!  So once again I am running a little late on my posts...I'm so sorry!  As our little one's expected arrival date approaches, it seems like we have so much to do in so little time.   Hence, our evenings are packed and I'm having a rough time keeping up with my posts!  I know I still owe you a post on my Austin baby shower as well so I will try to get that uploaded as soon as possible....but no promises!  :)  [Just a little teaser there!!]  I also am so excited to share pictures of her nursery with you....which is one of the things I'm trying frantically to finish....so be watching for that post as well!  And now for the 37 Week pic....

37 Weeks
How far along: 37 Weeks 5 Days!
Total weight gain/loss: 35+ lbs....according to the doctor I lost a pound since last week!
Maternity clothes: Slim pickin's for me here - even my maternity clothes are getting a bit tight, but I'm not about to go buy new clothes at this point!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: Eh...that's all I have to say about that.

Best moment this week: Our ultrasound!!!  It was so cute and amazing to see her more grown now!!  She still kept her hands in front of her face the whole time so we couldn't get a great picture of her precious little face, but what we could see was so amazing!  The ultrasound tech said she has long legs (big surprise!), chubby cheeks and most likely weighs about 6 lbs 4 oz at this time.  She also passed her "wellness test" so everything is all good!!  Great doctor's appointment!!!
Miss anything: I miss my normal-sized hands, feet, ankles and face - I am so puffy!!!
Movement: Still moving like a champ!  (I am definitely going to miss that feeling after she is born!)
Food cravings: Everything sweet!  If it's sweet, I want it!
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Some cramping and downward pressure, but these signs really need to start picking up!!  I'm ready!
Symptoms: Achy hips, swollen everything, hot all the time, tired, waddling...I swear the 37 week mark changes everything!
Belly button in or out: Out.
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: Definitely not able to get any rings on...I can barely even wear my watch these days!
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy doesn't even begin to describe my mood...I am BEYOND happy these days!
Most surprised about:  How busy we are!  It feels like we work and work and work to get everything done and it looks like we are barely putting dents in anything.  (I know this is probably my anxiety just kicking in, but I swear...it's crazy how busy we are!!)
Looking forward to:  Finishing the nursery!!  I can't wait to see it all put together!

 38 Weeks
How far along: 38 Weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 35+ lbs
Maternity clothes: Without a doubt!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: It's ok...not great, but at least I'm getting a little.

Best moment this week: Our doctor's appointment!  We found out that if our little one doesn't decide to come on her own before the 16th that we will be induced that night for delivery on the 17th!  I cannot wait to meet her!!!  Also....we are soo-oo close to finishing the nursery which feels so good!!  I should get her bedding in the mail next week from my step-mom.....yay!!!!!!!
Miss anything: Sushi!  This week I walked by a sushi restaurant and it seriously took all I could not to walk right in.  Sushi is definitely on the "1st things I must do when no longer pregnant" list!!
Movement: All of the time!  I love feeling her every movement and cannot wait to actually see her move in the "outside" world!
Food cravings: Sweets!!!  That's all I really feel like eating these days...(oh, and sushi, but that doesn't count!)
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Still cramping, but that's about it.  I'm trying to walk a lot so hopefully I start to feel more soon!
Symptoms: I am so so so so tired this week!  Sometimes I feel like I could fall asleep standing up.
Belly button in or out: Out.
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: Off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!  I've been laughing a lot lately and I love it...(except then I have to go the bathroom right away!  Hahaha!)
Most surprised about:  That I only have a little over a week left!!!!  It is unreal!!!! And, of course, how cute her nursery is looking!!!  I am so happy that everything is coming together like I had pictured!!!  I can't wait to show you all!
Looking forward to: First and foremost, I am looking forward to meeting our little girl!  This has been the most amazing journey and I can't believe we will get to meet her in a week (or less)!  I'm also looking forward to receiving her bedding and finishing the nursery!  And, last but not least, I am so excited for everyone to come visit for Christmas!!!

...and a few extra pics just for fun...

The furbabies and I!  We tried really hard to get both of them to look at the camera, but Bella kept getting distracted by the window!

36 Weeks

How far along: 36 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 35+ lbs....In the last week I made up for the limited weight gain I had during Weeks 34 and 35; thus, I'm going to just post a '+' sign from here on out.  Sorry, folks!!  :)
Maternity clothes: Leggings, leggings, leggings!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: Hit or miss over the past week.  I think all of the shopping and preparing is completely wearing me out so by the time I haul myself into bed at night, I'm exhausted!

Best moment this week: Thanksgiving dinner! Yum yum!!  It was so good to see Boon's family and catch up with them all!  It was also GREAT to have a 4-day weekend...we got so much done!  Success!!!
Miss anything: I'm really missing easy-movement!  I'm sure I will miss being pregnant when our little princess makes her arrival, but at the moment I am really looking forward to moving with ease and pain-free.
Movement: Lots of movement!  She is such a cutie...she sticks her little butt/back out on my right side and then kicks/punches along my left side.  It is so adorable and I love feeling every movement.
Food cravings: Nothing really sticks out this week.  I've been super thirsty lately so I guess to generalize this week's cravings, I'd have to say DRINKS!
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Negative...still having downward pressure, but praying I start having some sure-tell signs soon!!
Symptoms: My hips and feet hurt like you wouldn't believe.  The heartburn is actually getting better (hopefully that means she is dropping!) and the swelling has hit full force (which you can probably tell from the picture).
Belly button in or out: Out.
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: Off, unfortunately (as of last Tuesday).  Yep, that's right...I am now walking around looking like I'm knocked up and single.  Lovely!
Happy or moody most of the time:  So happy and excited!!
Most surprised about:  I am most surprised that the medical term for "dropping" is "lightening."   I don't know where this comes from because I definitely do not feel any "lighter" these days.  If anything, I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting on my bladder!  In no way, not in any form of the meaning, no matter how you look at it or break it down, does this feeling feel like "lightening."
Looking forward to:  My ultrasound on the 27th! (In all honesty that is today, but I need to stick with the "weeks" so if this post seems a little "off" that is why!  You'll have to wait until next week's post for the results of the ultrasound!)  I'm also looking forward to meeting our little girl!!!  We are getting so close!!!!!

35 Weeks

How far along: 35 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 34 lbs....wahoo only one pound in two weeks!
Maternity clothes: You betcha!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: I'm sooooo-ooooo tired and I probably haven't even been through the worst yet.  I will say, though, that two body pillows is definitely a plus.  It makes rolling over (or, should I say, attempting to roll over) so much less work!

Best moment this week: My baby shower!  So fun and so great to see everybody!  I had a blast, ladies - thank you all!  (I will post some pics soon!)  Also, starting to go through all the adorable baby clothes I've received.  I can't wait to wash them (yes, I'm actually excited to do laundry....probably the ONLY time you will ever hear me say that!) and put them on the cute little hangers in her closet!!
Miss anything: Definitely uninterrupted sleep and walking around with ease.
Movement: YES - she is quite the mover.  I like that I (think) I can tell which direction she is facing by the side her movement is on...I only wish I knew what she was actually doing in there!
Food cravings: Olive Garden Peach Bellini Tea...yum yum!
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Negative....I think!  I am feeling more downward pressure these days, but I'm not exactly sure if those are "labor signs" or not....
Symptoms: Awe my hips....so so so painful!  I asked the doctor at my last appointment if she thought my hip/leg was out of socket because I didn't believe it could actually hurt this bad, but apparently it is "normal."  Ugh!!!  Heartburn is still an issue as well and I'm starting to swell a bit. :(
Belly button in or out:  Out.
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: On!
Happy or moody most of the time:  Definitely happy!
Most surprised about:  I am probably most surprised about how fast the weeks are going and how soon she could be here!
Looking forward to:  Meeting our little one...I cannot wait!!!!  And, in the more near future, Thanksgiving!  I'm excited to spend it with family and friends....and looking forward to the 4 day vacation!  Do you know how much stuff we will be able to accomplish in 4 days!!!???!!!  Get your "working" boots on, Boon!!!

33 Weeks

How far along: 33 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 33 lbs....according to the doctor last week.
Maternity clothes: 100%....and I wish I could wear leggings every day!  I need to go buy more long shirts so I can!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: Pretty lame.

Best moment this week: My "nesting" urges have kicked in so I have to say one of the best moments this week was making progress on the reorganization of all of our closets.  I know that doesn't probably sound fun to most, but to a pregnant-organization-freak it is the BEST!
Miss anything: Sushi, sleep and walking around pain-free.
Movement: She's a mover!  She moves the most at night or when I'm sitting still.  Best feeling in the world!
Food cravings: Candy, candy, candy!  Halloween being last week was a very bad thing for me...especially since we have a ton of Halloween candy left.
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Negative.
Symptoms: My poor hips!  I seriously hope this doesn't last the next 7 weeks...I can barely walk some days.  :(
Belly button in or out:  We talked about this last week...out.  (sad face)
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: On!
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy....and even more happy that we are starting to organize and get things done!!!
Most surprised about:  How bad my hips hurt!  It is seriously miserable...I wish everyone could feel it for just an hour so they could understand.  Sorry, peeps, but I just want you to understand!
Looking forward to: My baby shower on Sunday!!  Can't wait!!!

32 Weeks

How far along: 32 Weeks, 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 30 lbs....I might stop reporting this, it is getting scary!!

Maternity clothes: Yep...even some of those are getting too tight.  :(
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: Dear Sleep, I miss you and probably won't be seeing a good night of you for awhile.  Please don't forget about me, I will return as soon I can (hopefully)!  Love, Codi

Best moment this week: Since I've missed a few weeks I have a couple: Week 30's best moment was going to the doctor and hearing the heartbeat again - I always love that!  Week 31's best moment was definitely my baby shower and seeing our Dallas friends!  Week 32's best moment was starting on the nursery - I am so so so excited to start putting everything together!!!
Miss anything: Lots - sleep (for starters), sushi (this will be one of my first post-pregnancy meals for sure), putting my shoes on with no effort (this just about kills me every morning!), and last but not least I miss being able to walk up the stairs without getting totally winded!!
Movement: Lots and lots of movement!  We can actually see my belly moving now - pretty crazy!
Food cravings: Chinese food, Olive Garden and anything and everything sweet.
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Negative.
Symptoms: My hips are so achy and heartburn is getting the best of me - I am now carrying tums around in my purse.
Belly button in or out:  Do I have to admit it?  Ou....(ahem)....ou....(ahem)....OUT...there I said it!
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: On, swelling has not been as much of an issue the past couple of weeks (knock on wood!)
Happy or moody most of the time:  So happy!  I got a little stressed during Week 30 - I was sick and stressing about the nursery, but I'm back to being happy now!
Most surprised about:  Week 30 - I was most surprised about how much worse you feel when you get sick pregnant...just a common cold can totally knock you out!  Week 31 - that I survived my first (and only) ACL preggers.  Probably not one of my best ideas, but I survived and now I can say that I've been.  Week 32 - how many people commented on "how big I am" this week.  Seriously, everywhere I turned people were making comments to me!  Some of the best: "Wow, you've really ballooned in the past couple of weeks.", "You have 2 months left!  No way!  There is seriously no way!", and the best one "You are going to need a trailer to get around pretty soon."
Looking forward to: Finishing the nursery and my next baby shower!!!

29 Weeks

How far along: 29 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 23 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Yes, yes, yes!
Stretch marks: Negative
Sleep: Let's just say I'm tired!  The multiple bathroom breaks are catching up to me...

Best moment this week: Getting to be apart of Jud and Joy's wedding and spending time with good friends!  (I have to say being the "pregnant bridesmaid" wasn't as embarrassing as I thought it would be!)
Miss anything: Bootcamp....believe it or not!  I'm actually shocked myself!!
Movement: Oh yes and I'm still loving every little one!!!
Food cravings: Milk & Oreos, brownies, rootbeer and french toast.
Anything making me queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Negative.
Symptoms: My poor hips this week...sooo-oo achy.  :(  And as much as I hate to admit it, I think my fingers are starting to swell a little.  I was hoping to make it all the way through with no swelling...
Belly button in or out: Ummmmmmmm......does 3.5% in and 96.5.% out still count as an inny???
Belly button ring in or out: Out. :(
Wedding rings on or off: On - but a little tight.  Yikes!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!
Most surprised about: That I miss working out so much.  I really never EVER thought I'd say that!
Looking forward to: Being in the "30" weeks!
